orn in Liberia West Africa, world traveled, and residing in Los Angeles CA, is Saydah, the musical Basa Princess from across the seas. Saydah began performing at the age of 7 with formal piano recitals. She then began experimenting with vocal and instrumental compositions and recording albums. Her first recording offer was from The Backstreet Boys for Black and Blue Records at the age of 14 after starring in her schools production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as the lead operatic role in a 2 hour vocal show. Being a minor, her father preferred her to age a little before entering the big city of dreams. She professionally began doing performances at age 16 when she was scouted by Ian Burke (TLC) of Green House Management (Atlanta, GA). Wanting to graduate highschool with her 4.3 GPA, she defferred until graduation. Following this, she was signed to Chayil Entertainment (Usher Raymond was their star client at the time.) , but the company was disolved in the midst of her moving to Los Angeles. The next offer came from the distunguished Al Franklin who was the mega house CEO of Omni Group and Omni Entertainment at the time. He wanted to open a division of music for his entertainment empire, but she received news of her Fiance's death and had to take time to herself to recoop and mourn,
Over the next 10 years she had the privilege of working with, and along side, various high profile members of the music industry, in both lyrics, composing, performing, and business. Saydah continued to hone her skills as an artist and also had the privilege of working with the industry elite on all levels, such as Preston Glass (the late Whitney Houston's song writer), Larry Moore from The Main Ingredient and Motown Records, Brutha (Def Jam Recording artists and Germaine DuPree)--who she was asked to perform with for the late Michael Jackson's Birthday party in Germany (2006), including a brief stint of being managed by David Anthony (Platinum producer for Jamie Foxx and Aaliyah) and P.J., Wu Tang Clan, and many others. Currently, Saydah has been working on her second album with Wu Tang Zu Films INC. She is currently partnered with over 10 major international cellphone companies to bring music via her single, callertunes, and acoustic album for sale into the world wide marketplace. She is also currently the inflight entertainment programming for over 5 major international airlines. Most recently, Bound2Break was introduced to over 2 Million listeners on the DJ symphony radio show (Wu Tang Clan's radio station) with radioinvasion, where it received a warm response with daily requests. Saydah also did 3 mixtapes with three different members of Wu Tang Clan, Gza,Ghostface Killah,and DJ Symphony(DJ for Raekwon, GZA, Ghostface Killah). It is a mixtape that Wu Tang featured her single, Bound2Break on. Saydah continues to act, model, design for the MeLee Model company, and was invited by VH1 to headline an international tour/music festival in India with proud sponsors such as Pride Hotels, the times of India..and many more! Since then she has aired to millions internationally via mainstream and primetime television stations such as, OK TV in Germany, and music videos in many retail stores and bowling alleys across America. She is now preparing her newest artist, Lady Mystiq and preparing to release her Sophomore album, Twisted Things, in 2017!
UPDATE
After much consideration, she signed a joint partnership deal with Zu Films INC and agreed to run the music department as head executive for Wu Tang Clan's independent record label , where she is currently developing techno, country, pop, hard rock, and Jazz artists for the label. Her first artist released on the label went to #75 on billboard charts with the production and song written exclusively by Saydah, making her one of the youngest music industry executives and billboard record producers in the industry. Due to political issues of interest within her country, she took a small break to end child sex trafficking within her nations borders, she had to take a tiny break from music . However she continued to
develop artists, and her most recent club artist was approached by Universal Music Group and offered a recording contract. At this point, she had to admit to herself she had too many artists for one person to handle on their own and decided to shop for a label deal with her and her 12 artists.
Her most recent performances include the world famous Kodak Theater, the Terrace in Pasadena, the Pre Oscar Gifting Suites, and the Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills. Saydah’s recent television appearances have been on the celebrity shopping channel, Ustream celebrity fundraiser for Haiti, Bound2Break music video, and international radio interviews. Saydah actively models with her modeling agency and agent, and enjoys the beach in her free time .
Being a Basa Princess from the Basa tribe has allowed her to perceive the world in a unique light.
